Dr. Kia Shinn

Chiropractic, Yoga

Dr. Kia is a dedicated and heart-centered chiropractor who brings skill, empathy and intention to every adjustment. She holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West. She has advanced training in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care including certifications in Webster and Dynamic Body Balancing. Her clinical focus blends full spine and Blair upper cervical techniques to support clear communication between the brain and body, promote structural integrity, and nurture the body’s innate healing capacity. She approaches care with a deep respect for the nervous system, often using gentle, low-force adjustments and a calming presence to invite balance and healing from the inside out. Outside the office, you might find Dr. Kia hiking or jogging along the coast, enjoying one of our local coffee shops or exploring creative movement practices like yoga and dance. She brings the same curiosity and grounded energy into her work, believing that chiropractic is not just about the spine - it’s about helping people reconnect to their vitality, resilience, and sense of wholeness.

Our Journey Begins

Our mission is to restore balance and awaken the body's natural healing potential through precise, gentle, focused upper cervical care. We believe true health begins with a balanced nervous system and a body in natural alignment. Guided by the principle of shizen - living in harmony with nature - we provide holistic, individualized care that supports the nervous system, enhances well being and empowers each person to live with clarity, vitality and alignment. We are dedicated to creating a calm, compassionate space where healing unfolds naturally and true health is cultivated from within.

What to Expect During Chiropractic Care?

Healing isn’t always a straight line.

It starts with discomfort - pain, tension or symptoms disrupting your life. After an adjustment the body begins to shift and respond. Your nervous system begins to reconnect.

What is Retracing?

The body may “revisit” previous areas of dysfunction. It is the body’s way of healing old injuries layer by layer. It is not a setback, it is part of moving forward. Retracing phases may happen at various intervals (3, 6, & 9 mos) These can feel like plateaus or temporary symptom flare ups. But each one reflects deeper healing. Staying consistent with your care helps reinforce posture changes and supports long term results. Healing happens in layers. Retracing is your body’s way of clearing the past to create a better future. Be patient, stay consistent and trust the process.
